Bacterial Respiratory Tract Infection
Respiratory tract infections (RTIs) are an infection of either the sinuses, throat, airway or lungs. Bacterial infections may develop after having experienced a viral illness such as a cold or the flu, and symptoms tend to localize to one particular area. Upper respiratory tract infections are most commonly found in the sinuses and throat. Pneumonia is the most common lower bacterial infection of the lower respiratory system.
