Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
The most common type of lung cancer is Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer which encompasses about 85% of those with lung cancer. Squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma are common subtypes of non-small cell lung cancer.
Small Cell Lung Cancer
This type of cancer is staged as limited or extensive and is commonly seen in smokers. Roughly 10 to 15% of lung cancer patients have small cell lung cancer.
